Anna Bennett
BSc (Hons); Lic. Ac. MBAcC

anna@acuinfo.co.uk

Anna trained at the Integrated College of Chinese Medicine in Reading, which is affiliated to Kingston University. After receiving her Degree and Licence, she set up her practice in Maidenhead.

In order to extend her level of Acupuncture experience, Anna joined a Study group of British practitioners who travelled to Guangzhou (near Hong Kong), in November 2008. For 3 weeks, the 15 strong group observed Chinese Medicine being practiced in a Chinese hospital.

"The experience was absolutely amazing and I was able to take valuable lessons in the art of practicing Acupuncture, which has benefited my patients so much. Not only did I learn from watching the Chinese doctors, but I found it helpeful to be surrounded by people who were enthusiastic and hungry to learn. This was a trip of a life time and I have a beautiful lasting impression of the
Chinese culture
"

Acupuncture is now accepted all over the world as a valid system of healthcare and in the UK there are currently over 2,800 qualified acupuncturists registered with the British Acupuncture Council. More and more people are finding this long established therapy can offer an effective solution to all manner of today’s ills.

Acupuncture is a tried and tested system of medicine. The Chinese and other eastern cultures have been using acupuncture to restore, premote and maintain good health for thousands of years.

Acupuncturists insert fine needles at chosen points along the patients channels of energy. The aim is to stimulate the body’s own healing response and restore it’s natural balance. For further information visit www.acuinfo.co.uk

Hypnotherapy

michelle williamson

Michelle Williamson
HDP, NLP Master Prac, ITEC Dip

Michelle Williamson was a project manager until the age of 26, when she left to train in the arts that helped her back to health. Having been debilitated by chronic fatigue aged 20, and finding the medical profession unable to help, she turned to Complementary Health to get her back on her feet. This created a passionate interest in wellness, which she’s pursued ever since.

Having felt helpless and confused, not knowing what was wrong with her or what to do about it, the relief experienced when she found help was enormous. Furthermore the incredulity over her ignorance about some of the simplest changes that can impact us on a massive scale compelled her to want to learn more and to share it with others.

Michelle’s journey has been an exploration of many therapies, looking for connections and missing links, as she builds a bigger picture and understanding of how to achieve health and well being. Her training and practice started with hands on manipulation or “body work”. By 1999 she was particularly excited by a talk she attended by Chris Rowarth, an Amatsu practitioner, who was able to help her partner back to health, from a slipped disc that no practitioner or medical consultant had managed so far. She trained with him and whole heartedly agreed with the philosophies and practice of this art.

Since then her interest has grown within the field of the mind-body connection, and the realisation that to treat both is a very powerful and congruent approach.

In 2004 she began her training with the Quest Institute as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist. She has furthered her training with this school to include Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Positive Psychology, Emotional Freedom Technique, Life Coaching and more. This provided a very rounded approach and understanding of how these “separate” skills are all very much linked. By integrating them, we are provided with a deeper knowledge to liberating people from their issues – physically, mentally and emotionally.

Michelle has continued to be involved with the Quest Institute, assisting with new students and working with fellow colleagues.
